This New Tech Force 87 Contender Series air rifle has the power and accuracy to compete with some of the most respected air guns in the world, yet its modest price makes it a perfect choice for virtually all shooters, competitors, small game hunters and backyard plinkers. The performance of the TF87 Contender Series is truly amazing, because it's capable of achieving muzzle velocities of 1100 fps in a .177 caliber and 950 fps in a .22 caliber. It packs a real punch, even at long range. The accuracy surpasses many of the popular European air rifles that sell for two to three times the price. The fixed barrel design has an underlever cocking mechanism with an anti-beartrap lock and automatic safety and adjustable trigger. The Tech Force 87 Contender Series has an insert fiber optice front and rear sights. It comes standard with all the features that you would expect from a world class rifle including a rifled barrel, scope grooves, scope stop, front and rear fiber optic sights. It also features a beautiful beech wood stock with a raised cheek piece and checkering on the pistol grip and forearm, plus a soft rubber recoil pad.

The Tech Force Contender model 87 is a must for anyone who wants an accurate, powerful, well made magnum air rifle for a VERY low price. Action and stock are finished very nicely. A nice trigger, metal sights, A CHOKED BARREL, beautiful checkering, and an overall good design compliment this smooth-shooting air rifle. Although I don't have a chronograph, it will fire a 7.9gr pellet past the sound barrier. The trigger is very crisp once adjusted properly. The ACCURACY of this gun is completely astounding. At 25 yards it will shoot 5 shots in a sub-0.25 inch group. That's on par with air guns such as the TX200, RWS 48/52/54, HW77,and many other air rifles costing much more. I have shot birds as far as 70 yards, using ChairgunPro, an awesome ballistics computer program. In order to get this kind of accuracy, however, the ARTILLERY HOLD with proper follow-through is very important. This is normal with magnum springers because of the long piston stroke and long lock-time when shot. It likes to be held lightly with my thumb parallel to the grip, support hand touching trigger guard, and shoulder barely touching stock, all done as lightly as possible. I use 10.5gr Crosman premiers because of this rifle's power. They also have good BC and work well in magnum air guns. This air rifle deserves a quality optic. I have a Leapers AO 4-16x50mm scope mounted on it, and it makes for an awesome combination. I have shot crows, magpies, starlings, blackbirds, and even a skunk since I got this gun about 3 months ago. So, with incredible accuracy, awesome power, and good quality, this gun is an AWESOME deal for anyone looking for a magnum air rifle for under $250. BUY IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an update as I had time for some Target and chrony time. H&N Barracuda\'s 10.6gr. 10 shots 5/16\" x 3/8\" 956.76FPS=21.55FPE, JSB 10.3gr 10 shot group one raged hole 5/16\" 926.49FPS=19.637FPE,H&N sport Barracuda Hunters 10.64gr. 1/2\" x 3/8\" 10 shot group. 988.71Fps=23.0144FPE. all I can say is wow and do try this rifle, it\'s a great rifle. I think I\'m going to go for a 22cal. soon. Good luck and good shooting be safe.

Recieved my Mod.87 today and this is my frist under lever rifle. This rifle right out of the box is the best springer I have ever handled. The finish is good and the smoothness is what really took me by suprise. The trigger needs alittle tweaking,but can be worked with. I mounted the scope and started shooting. This rifle likes the heavies. shot JSB\'s and kodiaks\'s into 3/8\" at 21yards cp\'s 1/2\" Tried cp lites and 7.9 hollow and were all over the place.I say stay with the heavies. My am I glad I got this 177cal. and man Am I thrilled how well it shoots. Thanks compasseco this thing is just what you and randy said it was!! A great shooting heavy hitting mag style airifle that is accurate right out of the box.
