the tech-force break down .177 carbine was accurate right out of the tote(not bad),the iron sites are excellent, very, very accurate. i`ve owned mine for over 4 years and have maintained it and still rocks like new. i`ve found the various high performance alloy "diesel" this cabine into a differint ballgame. a carbine that can reach anywhere from 25%-30% more velocity. with no lead residue. a 750 fps carbine pushed to its max. 950 fps - 1,000 fps. the carbine`s included scope is just not worth the materials its made of. don`t even put it on. for a few extra bucks buy either an open red dot sight,or a better scope. some things to consider with this springer it has a kick,so may a set of scope breaks be of great value. bieve me it`s worth it. just one more thing. the feet per second on this carbine are not quite accurrate, because the pellets used are heavier in the factory where they`re made and where the the velocities come from, and their disparity. check with point of purchase or local gun store. i love this carbine and am looking forward to a .22 version. buy

This isn't just a gun. It's art. I love the looks of it. Although it's not the most accurate gun in my arsenal, it;s definitely the nicest looking. The sight is a bit cheesy. It would be nicer with a better scope with a green dot laser or red dot sight.

I am very pleased with this gun. I haven't been able to check accuracy yet. Depending on the type of pellet, it shoots anywhere from 750-850fps when tested with my chronograph. It looks really cool with a 4x32 BSA Scope mounted.(The included scope is made of plastic and doesn't work. Dont even bother with it just buy a good one) It is very easy to operate and the only difficulty is that for some reason Crosman Premier Hollow Points will not load into it. I would assume that it could easily kill mice, rats, small birds, and chipmunks out to 30 yards if accurate enough, and possibly squirrels at a closer distance. Also, it is a bit difficult to assemble/disassemble so i just leave mine put together. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. Thanks, Makarov Stevenson

I filed the finger grooves off the grip and filed off the sharp corners from the bottom front of the grip to make it fit my ham fists. Then I gave it a proper lube tune. It\'s a great little shooter that just happens to be very handy. My next project is to strip the stock and refinish it with spray on truck bed liner. Throw away the factory scope and put a good sight on it. Then melt down the factory pellets and cast musket balls from them. Mine likes Crosman Premiers. I like the fact that I can tinker with it without fear of ruining an expensive air rifle. This is a good air rifle that becomes a great air rifle with a little tinkering. I\'ve had both the .177 and the .22. I sold the .177 to a friend and kept the .22. Either one is a good buy.

I've bought two take-down rifles, one .177 and the other .22 cal. So far I'm pleased, except for the very low quality 4x scope and cheeze-poof pellets that came with the rifles. I replaced the 4x with Tasco red-dots, Leaper's tri-rail system, and added Daisy laser sites, and Crosman Tac-lites......The .22 cal capped a felon rabbit @ 15 yds. Have yet to try the .177 during tactical backyard mission...

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE POWER & ACCURACY OF THIS RIFLE. VERY NICE. THROW THE SCOPE AWAY THAT COMES WITH IT AND BUY A GOOD SCOPE. YOU WON’T BE SORRY. THEY ALSO COULD DO A LITTLE BETTER JOB ON THE WOOD & FINISH. I AM GOING TO REFINISH IT MYSELF. OVER ALL GREAT LITTLE RIFLE.

Great for special operations and unwanted to be seen by public missions.
