This is a functionally good pellet trap. But it has one very serious problem. When I first obtained one I placed it on the fireplace mantle and could shoot air pistol from a distance of 25 yards. I put about 250 pellets into it, quite happy with the way it handled itself. Then I took a close look at the trap. Lead dust was dispersed as much as 3 feet from the trap, including the hearth and rug, and pickig it up to take it outside caused lead dust to fall over everything, including my lungs. As a physician, I was truly alarmed and discarded the trap after rendering it lead-safe. This would be a fine target nailed to a tree outside, with attention to the lead dust. Why not spend a few dollars more and get a trap with ballistic putty in the back? No lead dust, no health risk, no awful noise of lead hitting steel, and easy to pick the pellets out with a pair of tweezers. These are safe to use indoors. Leo walker, M.D.
