Q. When was my airgun manufactured?

A. If your crosman airgun was manufactured after July of 1975, the first 1-4 digits indicate the month of manufacture and the year.

Example: 1179 or n79 is November of 1979

Note: if your crosman gun was manufactured prior to July 1975 your gun would have a serial number, but you would not be able to tell the date of manufacture.

If your benjamin sheridan was manufactured after 1992, the first 1-3 digits indicate the month of manufacture and the year.

Example: 693 is June 1993

Q. Where is the serial number located on my gun?

A. The serial number is stamped on the exterior of your gun. The location varies depending upon the model and age. For most CO2 pistols the serial number is located on the frame under the clip side grip.

Q. What type of ammunition does my gun shoot?

A. The type and caliber of ammunition depends on the model of the gun. Please refer to your owners manual. If you need an owners manual, please contact Crosman at 1-800-724-7486 and they will send you one free of charge.

Q. Can i put a scope or sight on my gun?

A. Please see the sugessted accessories link under each airgun within our online catalog

Q. My gun does not hold a charge. Why?

A. It could be caused by a variety of reasons. It needs to be sent or taken to an authorized service station or contact crosman customer service for help. (1-800-724-7486)

Q. What type of oil should i use on my gun?

A. Please follow the oiling instructions listed in your owners manual and use the oil recommended where needed. Certain models that we manufacture use the Pellgunoil and certain models use the silicone chamber oil, it would state in the owners manual what you need to use. Do not use excessive oil.

Q. What size dovetail is on my gun?

A. We use a standard 3/8 " on models that are manufactured with a dovetail

Q. How many effective shots will i get from one CO2 cylinder?

A. The number of shots vary depending on the model. Many factors affect the performance of your gun including brand of projectile, amount of CO2 in cartridge, lubrication, barrel condition and temperature. Operating your gun below 70˚‹ F. Will decrease the number of effective shots. The reverse is true for operating above 70˚‹ F.
