I bought for nostalgic reasons. But after a few shots I thought my 16 yr. old boy could learn to shoot with a nonthreatning gun like this one, so I so I bought another one. I own severl air guns, but for some unknown reason I end up shooting this one most of the time. If this rifle were ever made to shoot say: 7 or 800 fps, I would get rid of all my other guns and have several copies of this rifle only. I have shoot severl containers of BBs and have droped ther rifle severl times and it just keeps on shooting like the first time.

I bought this gun for my 12yr old son. He shot it once and never picked it up again. He did not want to hurt my feelings by telling me it was a gun for little kids. 6yrs to10yrs.Then you get something like the crosman Storm. However I shoot it at paper targets. It is not powerful enough to penatrate anything else. About the review that the guy say's he killed a deer........WHAT?

Just bought a second Red Ryder for my Daisy collection/display. For the price, it’s a great little plinker, but the real joy was the reissue of the July 1947 Red Ryder comic book. What a wonderful journey back to to a better time!
